Hey there. I love seeing these picts of my neck of the woods. I hadn't realized the wading pool at Magnuson was open again (it was closed for a while when they were resolving water/plumbing issues).

My son (who is 7) is now playing coach-pitch baseball, with the same team that he played t-ball with when he was 5 (mostly -- baseball w/ boys). So I have 3 years of pictures watching them play t-ball (2 years) and now coach pitch. The changes are amazing. When they were 5, they were like the keystone cops. Seriously. I have not just one, but many pictures of 5 kids toppling over like dominoes after chasing after the same ball reaching it in sequence and falling on top of the group that reached the ball first.

With a great deal of patience (which I don't have; I've been amazed at our coaches) the boys have learned many skills.

We also had "graduation" at our preschool (West Campus @ UW). I don't know when I stopped being a cynic about it, but it was long ago. Seeing those kids in their manufactured morterboards (the kids made their own) brought premonitions of what they'll look like as they make even bigger transitions.

And, you're right. We think of high school as big, but for parents, pre school and elementary are big, the time we spend the most time with the school, and with our kids in the school.

(I do not know Alex or you, so I'll take your advice and not watch the video, but I do stop in here for the good photos. We live in the same neck of the woods).

I am a Canadian Kindle Owner. I was so thrilled to finally be able to purchase a Kindle. Have purchased 4 to date. We all love our Kindles. However, did you know that as of the last couple of weeks, there are many many books and authors that Canadian Kindle Owner can NO LONGER download and purchase. Best Sellers list etc. No Nicholas Sparks, No James Patterson, No Malcom Gladwell and these are just to mention a few. All were available up until last week or so when Hachette Book Group took over the publishing of these authors. These today, what will it be tomorrow? As far as I'm concerned, Amazon sold us the car, now they won't sell us the gas!!!
